Akemi Dalvi is the President & CEO of Kondo Wealth Advisors, Inc. (KWA), an independent Registered Investment Advisor firm, and professional wealth management practice, located in Los Angeles, California. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), holds a Series 7 license as a General Securities Representative and a Series 66 license as an Investment Advisor Representative. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Akemi is a Fiduciary, meaning she is bound both legally and ethically to act in her clients’ best interest ahead of her own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust. Akemi has led Kondo Wealth Advisors with the goal to provide financial guidance in a transparent manner with open communication.

In dedication to financial education and empowerment, Akemi has served as a long-time columnist in the Rafu Shimpo and East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center, writing on financial, tax, and estate planning topics. She is also the co-author of Retiring Upstream: Finding Happiness & Security in the Transition of a Lifetime.

Akemi received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in the field of Accounting. Prior to working as a Financial Advisor, Akemi worked as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, a global professional services firm. In 2008, she joined KWA, working alongside her father for 11 years until he retired. Akemi has led KWA as President and CEO since 2014. Akemi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), accredited for knowledge and expertise in personal financial planning.

In 2021, Akemi was highlighted as an Admired Advisor by Buckingham Strategic Partners, for her leadership in running a multi-generational financial advisory firm that has consistently supported the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community. She was also a guest speaker for the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Summit Presents, bringing financial planning best practices to the industry.

A native Angeleno, Akemi loves going to USC football and Dodger baseball games with her husband and two fun-loving sons. Akemi considers herself a Hawaiian at heart.
