Financial Planning Assistant

As our Financial Planning Assistant, Aska helps retrieve quotes, process applications, and service various insurance products, including life insurance and long term care. She also assists with the preparation of client reports. Aska is currently studying to become a Certified Financial Planner™ and participates in client meetings as part of her training.

Prior to joining KWA in 2021, Aska specialized in tax preparation and estate planning for expatriates at a Japanese tax firm in Gardena. She holds the Enrolled Agent (EA) credential, which is the highest credential the IRS awards. Her interest and enthusiasm in building off her tax knowledge and experience made for a natural transition to her current role as Financial Planning Assistant.

Aska has a passion for community service and engaging with the local community. A native Japanese speaker, Aska provides Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services throughout the year to outreach with the Japanese community. In her spare time, she enjoys running with a club in Pasadena. Aska also loves spending time in nature and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking and kayaking.
